Crewing Officer jobs
Crewing Officers are responsible for the day-to-day operational control of available crew resources. By joining this team, you’ll ensure the correct amount of qualified crew for each flight is maintained. You’ll also support other team members by assisting with delays and disruption.
From day-to-day, you will:
- Resolve any crew issues or enquiries in a timely manner
- Effectively utilise crew resources for maximum efficiency on the roster
- Maintain crew rosters and action any changes while being compliant with current regulatory requirements
- Be responsible for the correct crew compliment for each department, ensuring minimal crew down
Who do we look for?
You should have previous crewing experience within the aviation industry and take pride in offering exceptional customer service to both the flight and cabin crew. In addition, you’ll enjoy working under operational pressure and be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Medical Specialist jobs
In our Medical Services team, you’ll provide specialist medical advice to the business and ensure our robust risk management system is maintained. You’ll also be accountable for monitoring compliance standards and providing recommendations for appropriate medical solutions.
From day-to-day, you will:
- Provide pilot medical training
- Handle requests from the business for medical legal advice
- Champion key medical risk initiatives or change programmes
Who do we look for?
As a Medical Services Specialist, you’ll be an NMC registered nurse on Part 1 of the register or equivalent AvMed. Due to the nature of the role, you will be part of a 24/7 on call scheme and should be able to cope with high-stress situations while ensuring confidentiality.

Operations Process Specialist jobs
If you enjoy generating insights from data and have a passion for aviation, then this could be the ideal role for you. From day-to-day, you will:
- Manage cross-departmental projects to deliver actionable insight
- Ensure everything is in place to guarantee the safe and efficient running of our operation
- Utilise operational data to narrate our performance, identify trends and make recommendations
- Work closely with our Resilience and Crisis Management teams, building solutions and leading initiatives that are deployed in times of operational disruption
Who do we look for?
We’ll expect you to take a hands-on and highly analytical approach. You should be able to digest large amounts of data and make actionable recommendations to inform future strategy. Previous experience of data visualisation tools and an extensive background in data is an essential part of this role.
Operation Officer jobs
Our Operations Officer role is based at our Operations Control Centre at The Base. Within this position, you’ll assist the controller in the delivery of our Virgin Atlantic flying programme. In addition, you will play a significant part in delivering a safe and regulatory compliant operation.
From day-to-day, you will:
- Act as the focal point for communication regarding operational issues
- Quickly, calmly and accurately gather, assess and disseminate relevant information
- Continuously monitor global flight and weather to proactively mitigate any risk or disruption
- Utilise technology to foresee any connecting passenger issues between Virgin Atlantic and joint venture partners
Who do we look for?
It is critical that you’re able to maintain calm efficiency within this role as you will have time pressures and multiple tasks to prioritise. Ideally you will have a technical understanding of several disciplines involved in aircraft operations, as well as knowledge of IT applications which are used in the operations field.
