G-VHOW do we name our aircraft?

Two of our Airbus A350s are named in honour of two very inspirational women – Eve Branson, mother of founder Richard, and Emmeline Pankhurst, founder of the Suffragette movement. Ever wondered why we name aircraft and what are the rules?

The first transatlantic flight flown on 100% SAF

Flight100, which flew from LHR to JFK on 28 Nov 2023, was the world’s first commercial aircraft operating across the Atlantic on 100% SAF, on a Boeing 787. The flight showed incredible results of saving 95 tonnes of CO2 and demonstrated environmental benefits of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
