In a nutshell
We’re on the lookout for an analytical and detail-driven Compensation Analyst to join our Reward & Wellbeing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping Virgin Atlantic deliver a fair, transparent and competitive pay experience across the business.
From managing market benchmarking submissions to supporting our annual pay and bonus cycles, you’ll be central to ensuring our compensation practices run smoothly and stand up to scrutiny. If you love working with data, making sense of complexity, and collaborating across teams to drive better reward outcomes, this might be just the role for you.
Day to day
- Prepare and submit market benchmarking data to providers like WTW and Hay
- Analyse internal and external pay data to support salary reviews and job evaluations
- Provide hands-on support during compensation cycles including pay reviews and bonuses
- Track and process purchase orders, liaising with Finance and Procurement to keep things running smoothly
- Contribute to reward systems improvements and automation of reporting tools
- Build and maintain compensation databases and job-matching reference sheets
- Partner with teams including Payroll, People Ops, Finance and external vendors to resolve queries
- Keep accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness
About you
- You bring strong numerical and analytical skills, with a sharp eye for detail
- You’re confident with large data sets and Excel is one of your superpowers, with proven experience such as, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index Match
- You’re curious, collaborative and comfortable working across multiple timelines and processes
- You communicate clearly and credibly with stakeholders at all levels
- You’re organised, proactive, and take real pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work
- Experience with Oracle and Power BI is a plus – but not a dealbreaker
