In a nutshell

This is an outstanding opportunity to join the dedicated Delta operation at London Heathrow airport, and we're seeking passionate, customer-focussed agents to join our Delta Primary team.

A brand ambassador for both Delta and our Joint Venture. The Delta Primary Agent role excels in all aspects of customer service, flight planning and preparation of flights up to 48 hours in advance, and co-ordination of the above wing elements of the departure process. All, whilst creating a seamless customer experience to build magnificent moments to wow our customers!

Day to day

Some of your key roles and responsibilities will be: 

  • Prepare and supervise the flights assigned to you, ensuring all customers requests can be accommodated on the flight
  • Attend all daily briefings to ensure you are aware of the specifics within the Delta daily operation to lead the busy operations
  • Brief your Gate team to ensure a consistent and smooth approach during the boarding of customers. Communicate clearly with the Redcoat, Dispatcher and DL OSM to achieve a safe and secure on time departure for all our customers
  • Build, support and maintain outstanding relationships across all team members at London Heathrow to promote a warm, engaging and positive working environment
  • Ensure all DL and VAA corporate safety and security processes and procedures are adhered to at all times

About you

Are you able to work in a small, dedicated and diverse team? Are you an excellent teammate with outstanding communication and listening skills, and the ability to multi task and think on your feet to resolve problems?

  • Strong and confident communicator, whilst showing empathy and flexibility in your approach to diverse situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and react to constantly evolving situations to meet the customers' needs, whilst contributing to the On-Time Performance (OTP) at London Heathrow
  • Experience in making decisions, multi-tasking and prioritising a series of requests from our customers and colleagues
  • Experience in negotiating and influencing customers at the airport to manage the Delta process, such as upgrades etc.
  • Demonstrate a positive and resilient mindset that will encourage others to be inspired and motivated to perform at their best
  • The ability to acquire an airport airside pass ID that permits you to enter and work in restricted areas of London Heathrow airport
