In this dynamic and influential role as Senior Trade Marketing Manager, you will spearhead the creation of a cutting-edge global B2B strategy that spans across the UK, USA, and international markets, catering to both Leisure and Corporate sectors. Your mission is to elevate Virgin Atlantic as the preferred airline for global partners.
As the pivotal integration point for all B2B communications, you will ensure a marketing leading strategy designed to drive revenue growth. This role calls for a visionary leader who can inspire and guide teams to align with our overarching communications strategy and annual plan, making a significant impact on our global presence.
Day to day
- Team Leadership: Inspire, coach, and lead team members to achieve outstanding business results and personal goals. Build strong cross-functional relationships across Sales and Commercial through effective collaboration and stakeholder management. Establish best practices with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure efficiency and efficacy of activities.
- B2B Planning and Activation: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive insight-driven global B2B plan for all markets (US, UK, International) to achieve annual revenue and performance targets. Serve as the primary integration point for all B2B communications, ensuring cohesive messaging, content, and phasing across all touchpoints.
- EJV Lead: Lead the design and implementation of innovative B2B programmes with our EJV partners, Delta, Air France, and KLM, to enhance our collective market presence and drive incremental reach. Work collaboratively with EJV partners to craft a unified value proposition that appeals to B2B customers.
- Strategic Insights Generation: Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Insights teams to ensure a deep understanding of market trends, customer behaviours, and emerging opportunities. Utilise insights to inform the development of the global B2B strategy and launch innovative B2B initiatives that drive engagement and growth.
About you
Do you have significant experience in B2B management across multiple categories? Do you have excellent communication and analytical skills? Then this could be the role for you!
Alongside the above, we're looking for the following:
- Experience managing and developing high performing teams
- Experience managing large-scale brands with complex routes to market.
- Extensive experience in the UK market; broader global experience is an advantage.
- Proven experience operating at a senior leadership level, engaging with C-suite and senior leaders.
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of airline economics.
- Strong strategic thinking with a track record of applying business insight to shape strategic B2B plans.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of creating robust analysis and meaningful insights to drive actions and highlight opportunities.
- Experience in driving B2B transformation through technology and innovation.
