At Virgin Atlantic, we’re committed to innovation, pioneering change through partnership, and being transparent in our progress.

In a nutshell

We have an outstanding opportunity for a driven professional to take the lead in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) function within the dynamic Information and Cyber Security team at Virgin Atlantic Ltd. As a Manager in this vital role, your responsibilities will include crafting a world-class IAM strategy, designing impeccable Identity solutions, and establishing the benchmark for best practice maturity. You will also coordinate the implementation of innovative processes and technologies, while effectively managing a large service provider team to ensure outstanding service delivery.

Day to day

  • Develop IAM strategy across Virgin Atlantic and its service partners.
  • Ensure privileged accounts are brokered, just-in-time access is granted, and usage is appropriately monitored.
  • Bring consistency of control maturity and visibility across PIM (Privileged Identity Management) in cloud environments.
  • Take end-to-end accountability for IAM service delivery and performance.
  • Document and evolve the current delivery model, service catalogue, and NIST aligned maturity level.
  • Craft the future state, set maturity targets with management, and develop improvement plans.
  • Implement the people, process, and technology capabilities needed to achieve target maturity.
  • Identify gaps in the above and articulate risk statements and treatment plans.
  • Input into technical and business roadmaps to represent core Identity and Access Management needs.

About you

  • CISSP / CISA / CISM certification through ISACA or an equivalent professional body.
  • Proficient understanding of information security standard methodologies and compliance, including ISO27001/2, NIST, PCI/DSS, EUGDPR, and emerging cyber security standards.
  • Proven understanding across a broad range of Identity and Access Management solutions, with experience leading and managing a team of technical Subject Matter Experts.
  • Experience in implementing PAM (Privileged Access Management) and UAM (User Access Management) tooling and supporting business processes.
  • Consistent record of driving technical change through innovation, process evolution, simplification, and capability exploitation.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threats, technologies, and standard methodologies.
  • Understanding of service-led delivery and experience in managing vendors, suppliers, and operational performance.
