Salary:    Competitive per annum
Hours:     37.5 per week, Monday to Friday with 1 weekend in 5 working a Saturday and in Peak working 1 weekend - Saturday and Sunday. On these days you’ll be paid shift allowance.
Location: Hybrid working with up to 2 days a week in our VHQ, Crawley
Contract: 6 month Secondment
Closing Date: 16th October 2024   

In a nutshell

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Operations Executive to join our Technical Operations team on a 6 months’ secondment. You'll work closely with the Travelbox (TBox) and MDMS databases, whilst maximising Virgin Holidays’ sales in line with agreed business requirements.  

You'll also support the wider business through multiple channels with a view to optimising product availability, reporting and booking queries. 

Day to day

You're probably wondering what your day to day will look like. Our Product Operations Executives create, manage and maintain all elements of ground contracts and XML connections across 7 modules on the TBox database accurately. This is all done to agreed business requirements, priorities and timelines. As well as this, you'll also:

- Utilise Microsoft Excel and additional programs to facilitate complex calculations necessary to input often incompatible data with the TBox database system.

- Setup all ground product in the MDMS database in a timely and accurate way to facilitate business wide reporting from the BOXI application.

- Recap on stop sales and bed bank reports, updating confirmation numbers.

- Produce accurate reporting for external suppliers of excursions and ancillary product.

- Investigate queries raised by the QA team and refusals, amend and advise as appropriate.

- Liaising with external suppliers both direct and through third party XML suppliers to resolve booking and manifest queries.

About you

Do you have excellent knowledge/experience of TBox modules Accommodation, Generics, Tour Builder, Transfers, Supplier and TBox Set up? Are you experienced working with and understanding Tour Operator contracts/offers in all formats? Then this could be the role for you!  

Alongside the above we’re looking for the following to be successful in your application:  

- Excellent analytical/mathematical skills with ability to solve complex calculations. 

- Great attention to detail and problem solving skills with ability to think creatively to solve a complex problem. 

- Experience of multi-tasking with a flexible approach to changing priorities.  

- Ability to communicate effectively with direct suppliers and all levels of staff across various departments within the business.
