In a nutshell
Reporting to the Destination Manager, you'll join a diverse and adaptable team focused on effectively orchestrating every aspect of Product Services. This collaborative team is dedicated to realising Company goals, implementing Destination Strategies, and meeting Business timelines.
The role encompasses a range of responsibilities, from aiding in administrative functions to contributing to the execution of Product Sourcing, Product Planning, Product Management, Data Compilation and Organization, Reporting, and Customer Relations.
Day to day
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Issuing contracts to suppliers and meticulously managing accurate contractual records and documentation that mirror the agreed-upon rates and terms between the Virgin Holiday Group and the supplier within the specified timelines
- Ensuring the completion and mutual signing of all agreements, following the specified bed brief and adhering to the set target timelines
- Working in close collaboration with the Health & Safety department to ensure that Suppliers' self-audits are transmitted, received, and successfully cleared, while ensuring that the H&S department is fully informed about ALL newly contracted ground products for all brands within the Virgin Holidays Group
- Supporting sales channels to resolve product queries and aid sales, through the creation of sales support materials and maintenance of Knowledge Library. Organise and deliver supplier and product training/ FAM trips, ensuring prioritisation of commercially important partners
- Implementing due diligence procedures to verify the relevance, benchmarking, and commercial viability of supplier-generated special offers and distributing these offers to the wider business promptly. Whilst also supporting promotions, from initial concept to being available for purchase
- Cultivating positive relationships and closely coordinating with existing suppliers and representing Virgin Atlantic Holidays and its subsidiaries at various business functions, whilst also maintaining regular communications with the supplier
- Assisting in researching both existing and new products, as well as aiding in product launches. Providing clear communication, education, and responses to inquiries for Commercial, Operational, and Sales colleagues
- Assisting in preparing briefs for the Content team, encompassing all products, including Key Selling Points (KSPs) and channel-specific focus
- Ensuring all vital back-office requirements are met including reporting before ground product is available for sale and compiling regular product feedback from sales and other departments
- Aiding Managers in capturing and documenting contributions, calculating average rates, and assessing year-on-year ground cost movement
- Providing support to Managers in addressing customer relations matters such as errata and re-protections. Striking a balance between commercial considerations and customer needs. Analysing Net Promoter Score (NPS) reports to ensure alignment with company expectations.
