In a nutshell
As the Airport Manager in Seoul, you will oversee the delivery of a seamless, world-class Virgin Atlantic airport experience. Prioritising the safety and security of customers, staff, and equipment, you'll lead operations with precision and care.
Your role will focus on ensuring an outstanding customer experience, managing operations within agreed budgets, and representing Virgin Atlantic with local authorities, regulators, and service providers. You will hold overall responsibility for airport operations, including contract oversight and compliance of service providers.
Day to day
- Foster positive partnerships with suppliers and regulatory bodies to ensure a high-quality operation that benefits our customers and business.
- Lead and manage the airport team fairly and consistently, creating a culture where people feel engaged and motivated.
- Operate within financial constraints to deliver a cost-effective airport operation.
- Uphold Virgin Atlantic’s distinctive customer experience standards.
- Ensure the operation is safe, secure, and compliant with all regulations.
About you
Do you bring leadership experience in Airport and Airline Operations within a fast-paced, multi-flight environment? Are you well-versed in local safety, regulatory, and government policies with a strong focus on compliance? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
We’re also looking for:
- Demonstrated expertise in decision-making and proactive change management, supported by leadership experience in customer and operations-focused roles.
- The ability to inspire, empower, and develop teams, including both internal staff and external service providers.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong aptitude for collaboration and teamwork.
- Proficiency in data analysis and implementing operational and strategic action plans.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and invoice processes, with a solid understanding of commercial considerations in an airport or airline setting.
- Adaptability to a dynamic, customer-focused environment, with the flexibility to work irregular hours as needed.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools for effective communication and presentations.
- The right to live and work in the Republic of Korea.
Important Information
Virgin Atlantic Airways Limited is currently undergoing the necessary business registration and operational certification process with the Republic of Korea authorities. All hiring will be subject to and contingent upon the successful receipt of applicable permits and licenses, including the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) validation.
At this stage, we are collecting expressions of interest only. Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for preliminary discussions, but no employment contracts will be issued until formal approvals are complete. We currently expect the approvals to be completed within 2025, subject to the decisions of the relevant government authorities. If approved, hiring is expected to proceed in 2025/2026.
